When it comes to your digital life, there is one common denominator that everyone shares. This common link we all share is the fact that our digital libraries are constantly growing and evolving. Whether your vice is digital music, movies or video games, it seems that everyone has begun a massive collection, which requires more advanced computers to handle this load. The HP Compaq Presario 15.4″ Laptop Computer, Model: V6130US features some of the best technologies that have been designed to help streamline and organize your digital life. This laptop computer is perfect for both professionals and casual consumers because of its advanced processor and other internal features that can accommodate nearly anything you throw at it.
Main Product Features:
Within this laptop computer from the HP Compaq Presario product line, you will find the latest technologies that this industry offers. However, all of these features are based off of the processor. You will be able to enjoy the ultra-reliable Intel Core Duo Processor, which provides you with the ability to have superior platform stability, which is very important as our lives become more and more digital oriented.
The processor works beautifully with the SATA 100GB hard drive. While there are many other laptops that feature more memory, the more memory you have the higher the price will ultimately be. Since most computer users do not need in excess of 100GB’s of storage, HP has installed a perfect amount of storage. The average storage capacity within the laptop industry is 80GB, thus you are receiving above-average memory, without spending thousands of dollars for more memory than you will ever use.
One of the major downfalls of this laptop is the RAM memory. With 1GB of RAM already installed, this is good for a basic laptop, however, if you have a demanding digital library, than you will definitely need to expand this memory capability. This laptop comes with a maximum capacity of 2GB of RAM.
A great way to lower the amount of memory you need for your computer is to quickly transfer your digital files to a hardcopy source. If you download movies from the Internet, than you will love the DVD drive that allows you to create dual-layer DVDs. You can also create CD’s through the 40x CD-R (24x CD-RW) drive.
With the 15.4-inch LCD monitor, you are able to watch movies and surf the Internet in brilliant clarity thanks to the 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. And with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, you are given one of the most advanced video producers within the laptop industry.
Product Price:
Consumers can expect to pay about $800 for this laptop computer. However, like many items, if you shop online you can find this laptop or a little over $750.

I suspect this is due to the fact that the HDC-SDT750K's two lenses were only about one-half inch apart. By comparison, my eyes are 2.5 inches apart, while those on the Fuji W1 camera are about 3 inches. In normal use, one shouldn't expect a significant 3D effect with just one-half inch separation.
As for resolution, if you're used to the crisp HD images from the best camcorders, you'll be disappointed. The Panasonic's images looked soft, more like standard definition than high definition. This isn't totally unexpected, since the Panasonic presents stereo images in side-by-side 3D format, which, much like 3D broadcasts, cuts horizontal resolution in half. Still, the Panasonic looked softer to my eye than what I'm used to with HD broadcast.
One unusual effect I noticed was that street lights and red lights on the backs of cars appeared somewhat detached from the object, floating, when viewed in 3D. On indoor shots, images looked excessively grainy and as if they'd had visual noise removed, further limiting detail and clarity.
The Panasonic is a notable first attempt at a consumer-grade 3D camcorder. It's fairly compact and its image quality average. But if you're introducing a new feature as significant as 3D, the viewing experience ought to be compelling enough to outweigh the burden of having to wear often uncomfortable 3D glasses for long periods.
For me, the Panasonic didn't deliver a compelling enough 3D experience, but rather a mediocre one. I suggest you view its 3D video yourself on a 3D TV set before you buy an HDC-SDT750K.
As for me, I'm keeping both eyes open to see what comes next.

DV Expo hit Pasadena yesterday and today with an interesting new product from Panasonic, the AG-AF100 camcorder in Full HD (1920 X 1080) and in an almost ready for market mode. With the camcorder due to ship in December, Jim Wickizer and Cathy Plushner of Panasonic were willing to give me the lowdown on the AG-AF100 features. It has plenty of features that will attract the photographer starting to shoot video as well as the experienced cinematographer. The biggest feature might be the micro four thirds mos sensor which is comparable to the super 35 film so it gives you the much desired shallow depth of field for a more cinematic look.
There is the ability to change lenses both inside and outside the Panasonic line of lenses, some with auto focus capabilities. This is a perfect place to consider using the incredible Zeiss glass from both the Zeiss line of HDSLR and Cine Prime lenses. Then there is the widely accepted and powerful AVCHD codec in high quality PH mode that the camera uses which goes out to economical SDHC cards. There is a DRS (Dynamic Range Stretch) to help control your contrast plus two controllable XLR ins with +48v for audio. This is a true video camera with the additional features of no recording time limits, zebras, HD-SDI and HDMI outs along with analog, 3 user buttons, internal ND filter, focus-assist and Wave form display. It has variable frame rates from 12 to 60 FPS for over and under cranking. For more information on this exciting new camera visit Panasonic AG-AF100.
Panasonic has introduced the Toughbook S9 laptop which comes pre-installed with Windows 7 and downgradable to Windows XP operating system. It features 12.1-inch LED backlit display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 2GB DDR3 RAM (up to 6GB), etc. It includes HDMI and VGA for external monitor, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 2.1. The laptop has Panasonic spill-resistant keyboard design and is powered by 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-520M vPro processor (up to 2.93 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost).
The Laptop offers different protective components such as fingerprint reader, TPM1.2 chip, and Gobi2000 module which includes a modem for 3G networks and integrated chip. Its battery provides 11 hours of charge and measures 11.1 x 8.3 x 0.9-1.5 inches and weights 1.36 gram. The Panasonic Toughbook S9 laptop price starts from $2,499 in US. But its availability details is not yet announced.
Panasonic Solutions Company today introduced the Panasonic Toughbook S9 12.1″ laptop with an integrated DVD drive. It is powered by the Intel Core i5-520M vPro processor, delivers up to 11 hours of battery life with a standard battery and weighs only 3.0 pounds.
via Panasonic Toughbook S9 claims to be the world’s lightest 12.1-inch laptop with a DVD drive, we believe it — Engadget.

As a computer technician I get to use hundreds of computers a month and test many more hardware items. Several of these items are motherboards of every brand, such as Biostar, MSI, Abit, etc… While in my opionin, the motherboard doesn’t make a whole lot of difference in the performace of the machine (well, not as much as say the CPU), but for best and long lasting results having one of the best motherboards will make your life more enjoyable.
I’m not bad mouthing or insulting any other motherboards (mainboard to be technical), but in comparison the others just does not stack up. Abit is a great competitor but that is in a later article. The ASUS boards have been around for a long time and have improved in leaps and bounds leaving the competition behind.
Their latest boards have been improved to reduce noise and temperature and increased the speed at which information is able to travel thru the circuits. The transisters, like most other boards, have been getting smaller and more powerfull, which improve the life of the board. The newer chipsets comming out on these boards are built with Windows Vista in mind, knowing that a large percentage of computer users in the near future will be running windows Vista, allowing for maximum compatiblility and offering the greatest speeds. I’m not going to go into detail and explain the numbers or the circuits in this review, because I don’t think it’s nessesary. Any one can read the specs of the machines from any where on the internet especially ASUS.com, and I’m not review just one board from ASUS, just a general synopsus.
The ASUS are also spreading their usage, allowing for the largest number of processors to be used. While most boards are dropping the old technology such as AGP video cards, ASUS still creates boards with those abilities. AGP is just a type of video card that replaced the old PCI video cards. AGP is being phased out by the newest technology called PCI-Express (PCI-X for short). But keeping in stride with their history, ASUS will not allow their product to fall behind on the newest cards, creating several boards with the PCI-X functionality.
As for personal experience, I have performed several tests to back up my reviews. I have physically taken several computers with several different types of motherboards, and replaced the motherboard with an ASUS of equal or more times than not lesser board. I left every thing else in tact, such as hard drive, CPU, RAM, video card, etc… And ran several tests. Every time the ASUS would run the computer faster, smoother, and with no problems arising. (Note: Like most operating systems, after adding a new board, I had to walk over the OS, but this note is mostly for people who know what that means and have questioned my methods.)
While there are several great mainboards out there, and pretty much any of them are great for normal use, the ASUS has never failed, or disappointed me in the short and/or long run.

Serena (Blake Lively) begins to suspect that Juliet (guest star Katie Cassidy) is intentionally sabotaging Serena’s life and that it may have something to do with Nate (Chace Crawford).
Rufus (Matthew Settle) is worried about Dan (Penn Badgley) and decides to take matters into his own hands. Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr and Kelly Rutherford also star.
Last week I posted about my experimenting with the iPhone’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature. Since then, I’ve been experimenting with the native functionality that the new iOS update offered as well as two other Apps, TrueHDR and Pro HDR. As you would expect both Apps offer more than what Apple has built in natively, but more doesn’t always mean better.
Well, I guess I should say that more doesn’t always mean just as convenient. The iOS native HDR capability is fast an convenient. One button press and you’re on your way, or the iPhone is on its way to giving you the HDR image you took. With both Pro HDR and TrueHDR you do have more features to choose from, but you also have to wait a bit longer for the photography and the eventual processing. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, depending on what you are trying to capture a photo of, it is worth mentioning. Both Apps will set you back $1.99.
Both Apps give you the ability to use an auto mode or Manual Mode to set up exposure to your heart’s content. (all the photos accompanying this post were done in Auto mode.) Both also allow you to take photos already in your library and work the HDR magic on them after the fact. TrueHDR also offers a semi-auto mode for those who want to experiment a little bit, but like me don’t consider themselves knowledgeable in these kind of things.
TrueHDR takes longest of the three to analyze and snap the multiple photos so depending on your subject matter you need to take that into consideration. TrueHDR gives you two modes to work with that affects that timing and the eventual output. The first is Standard which gives you subtler colors, the seond is Enhanced which give syou more vibrant colors and takes longer to do its work.
Both of these Apps give you the option to save multiple exposures to your photo library in case you want to work with them further.
The further intricacies of both Apps give you a lot to work with, but the bottom line is if you want or need to do some HDR photography either will give you better results and more control over what iOS 4.1 offers. In the gallery below you’ll see shots taken with just the iOS HDR, TrueHDR, and Pro HDR in that order left to right. Click on any image for a larger view. As I said in that earlier article, so much depends on the subject and the lighting, but then that’s an entirely different set of discussion topics for those who know more about this me.

PARIS (AP) – He's an uncontested master with a pen and sketchbook, on which he's been rattling off blockbuster ready-to-wear and haute couture collections for decades. But Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld is also gifted with a camera.
A new Paris exhibition showcases the gamut of Lagerfeld's photography, from his commercial work for Chanel to celebrity portraits for magazines to more experimental landscapes and architectural pieces.
The show – which kicked off Tuesday with a star-studded and Champagne-soaked opening at the Maison Europeene de la Photographie – brings together about 300 of the designer's shots and is billed as the largest-ever exhibit of his photographs.
Lagerfeld first took up photography in 1987, and the show, called “Parcours de travail,” or “Career Path,” has something for everyone, with sober landscapes in black and white or sepia to portraits soaked in eye-popping colors or printed on glitter-covered paper.
There are, of course, the obligatory fashion photos. Lagerfeld, who designs for Chanel, Italian fashion house Fendi and his own signature line, has long shot the press kits for the labels, churning out photos of models sporting clothes from his latest collections for decades.
From there, he branched out into ad campaigns for the lines. (Chanel's latest campaign, featuring waifs sporting Chewbacca fake-fur skirt suits as they lounge on New York City fire escapes, is his.)
Standouts include “Couture 18eme Vogue,” a 1998 series he shot for the fashion magazine, a period mise-en-scene featuring models in towering powdered wigs and merengue-like ball gowns playing cards and tossing back Champagne in an old French town house.
A 1992 series also for Vogue features close-ups of Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista, her face painted in color blocks of cherry red, teal blue, bubblegum pink and saffron in the style of renowned Expressionist painter Alexej Jawlensky.
Lagerfeld is a passionate connoisseur of modern art, and many of the photos in the show reflect that. Besides the Jawlensky series, there's a 1997 homage to Oskar Schlemmer, the German artist and teacher at the Bauhaus school, and a 2005 series of pop art portraits of Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi depicting the star talking on the phone or crying dramatic tears in U.S. painter Roy Lichtenstein's signature style.
Other celebrity portraits – displayed on a massive wall, like a checkerboard of the beautiful, the thin, the rich and the famous – include shots of fashionistas from Claudia Schiffer to Eva Herzigova and actors including Jack Nicholson and Monica Bellucci.
“Mulholland Drive” director David Lynch – captured in black-and-white as he leans over to light a cigarette, his trademark shock of bone-white hair flopping over his forehead – said he loved the portrait.
“It's my favorite picture that anyone's taken of me, ever,” Lynch told The Associated Press during the opening. “I don't really know why, I just like it. Perhaps because I look very good in it,” he added with a wink.
Lynch was among a bevy of celebrities on hand for Tuesday's opening, including Chanel muses Vanessa Paradis and Ines de la Fressange, actor-cum-heart throb Gaspard Ulliel and French designer Pierre Cardin.
Celebrity architect Peter Marino, known for his trademark head-to-toe black leather look, said his favorites were the series of large-scale images of buildings and monuments shot from unusual angles.
“I loved the series called 'Men and Nature' with the shots from underneath the Eiffel Tower juxtaposed with the shots from the underside of the tree. It made me crazy, I thought the contrast was so beautiful,” Marino told The AP, adding that he's been getting architecture photos from Lagerfeld as Christmas gifts for years. “I treasure them very much.”
He said that Lagerfeld's unusual eye – his gift for seeing things from unusual perspectives – unified the otherwise disparate work and pointed to the 2007 series “Another Side of Versailles.”
In those grainy black and white images, France's most famous chateau is pushed out of center stage and onto the margins of the frame. In one shot, a lichen-stained stone staircase dominates the frame, with the chateau's roof just peeking over the top, while in another the castle is but a hazy reflection in a pond.
“Versailles is about 350 year old now and has this very fairy tale quality about it,” Marino said. “Karl's photos have a sort of fuzzy, out-of-focus quality that kind of catches more of the feeling of the building than a standard photo of the grand chateau.”
“Parcours de travail” runs through Oct. 31 at the Maison Europeene de la Photographie.

Macro Photography is an art of getting close up pictures. There are special lenses available to take the close pictures neat and clear. Sometimes camera can capture those small things which you can’t even imagine to watch with naked eyes. This is the reason why macro photography is so elegant. As I am a professional photographer I love to take the close shots and today I am going to share some of the best macro photography shots.
Digital Photography is all the rage when it comes to taking pictures. Unlike convential cameras, the 35mm variety, you are able to view pictures immediately after you take them, decide whether or not you want to keep them and so much more. Also unlike 35mm cameras, digital cameras give you the ability to store your photos on a memory card, giving you the potential of taking literally hundreds of photos without running out of film.
The biggest advantage of digital is its flexibility. You will no longer need to carry separate cameras to shoot in black and white or color. Most digital cameras come with a knob or digital menu that allow you to choose how you want the picture to be taken. Additionally, digital is the only format that allows duplication with no loss of quality.
Digital photographs can be easily shared through email, jump drives and through the internet with onlin photo galleries where you can send share links to friends that allows them to view the photos or a slide show. I personally use Kodak Gallery.
In this article I want to give you digital photography enthusiasts some tips on making your experience as an amateur (who knows maybe some pros also) digital photographer even better.
If you are into digital photography, acquaint yourself with a product called Adobe Photoshop. You may have already heard of it, but for those who haven`t this is a powerful piece of software that allows you to edit your photos to your wildest imagination. To give you an example, you can make pictures more clear, and add words. These are just a few of the basic items you get with Photoshop. With the release of Photoshop Lightroom you now have a professional photo management system for your digital photographs. According to Rob Schoeben of Apple Computers Inc., “the Photoshop Lightroom is about pulling the beauty out of image. The new program helps users to browse and manage images.”
With any type of camera you will need a good lense. Without going into specific brands here are a couple of tips. Zoom lenses used in most digital cameras are insufficient for nature photography. Prime lenses offer the highest optical quality to digital photographers and Super zoom cameras are perfect to capture a sporting event.
As with all hobbies and other subjects you can find a variety of tutorials and books on digital photographty. Some include, “The Perfect Picture,” by Bryan E. Peterson which offers beginners a strong foundation from exposure to composition on DVD format, “SureShot System” is another DVD course from Big Picture Enterprises. The short course “Fundamentals of Digital Photography: Getting the Most Out of Your Digital SLR” includes audio CDs.
The power of technology has lent itself to make digital photography a wonderful and enjoyable hobby for all. With these tips and further educating yourself on the matter, you can snap (or is it record?) your favorite photo and make it look like a pro took it, in no time.

Plustek Technology Inc. has released its latest imaging product on Thursday, the SmartPhoto P60. It converts old photographs into digital files for use as a backup, for sharing online of for use in digital photo frames. The size of the scanner is enough to make typical four-by-six inch prints.
The scanner can capture a photo in as quickly as 18 seconds, and requires no software for converting or scanning photos. The scanner ships with a protector sheet for feeding through older, damaged or crumbling photos. It plugs into computers using a USB port, which powers it as well. The P60 can scan photos at 100DPI, 300DPI or 600DPI.
The SmartPhoto P60 is now shipping for $99.
The first promotional photo of DIMMU BORGIR's “Abrahadabra” campaign has been released and features regalia created by Junker Designs' Tod Waters and Giuliana Mayo.
Waters and Mayo first began working with the band in early 2007, having created the clothing for DIMMU BORGIR's last album, “In Sorte Diaboli”.
DIMMU BORGIR's ninth album, “Abrahadabra” will be released in Germany on September 24, in the rest of Europe on September 27, and in North America on October 12 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The word “abrahadabra” (which roughly translates into “I will create as I speak”) first publicly appeared in Chapter III of “Liber AL vel Legis” (commonly referred to as “The Book of the Law”) written by Aleister Crowley in Cairo, Egypt in 1904.
“Abrahadabra” track listing:
01. Xibir (2:50)
02. Born Treacherous (5:02)
03. Gateways (5:10)
04. Chess With The Abyss (4:08)
05. Dimmu Borgir (5:35)
06. Ritualist (5:13)
07. The Demiurge Molecule (5:29)
08. A Jewel Traced Through Coal (5:16)
09. Renewal (4:11)
10. Endings And Continuations (5:58)
DIMMU BORGIR singer/songwriter Shagrath shares the following about the new album: “After eleven months of total focus, dedication and professional team work, Darkness has been reborn. Some people have expressed their concern about the future of the band since the departure of some members of the clan. Let me assure you that things happen for a reason. The black flame burns brighter than ever before. With the mixture of our different musical preferences and the personalities involved, I will dare to say we have created a BEAST, the most detailed work to date out of our 17 years of existence. I know it's too much of a cliché to brag when you have a done a new album, but to put it short and simple, it's a fist in the face to all the doubters out there. Forward – Onward – March… ENTER THE SUPREME UNKNOWN.”
For the second time in the band's career (i.e. 1996's “Stormblåst”), a one-word album title breaks the tradition of a three-word album title for a new studio release dating back to DIMMU BORGIR's 1994 debut, “For All Tid”.
Guitarist/songwriter Silenoz has this to say on the topic: “We knew there would be some big changes with this album in more than one way and since we've had the three-word-title tradition for many years now, we thought it'd make a lot of sense for us to move on from that. It has served its purpose. We are a band that's all about change and moving forward. An album title consisting of one word goes hand-in-hand with the new material — it describes both the musical and lyrical content in a more imaginary way, not to mention the unity and the everlasting flame which is DIMMU BORGIR. Expect the unexpected!”
When asked about the central figure in the artwork and who/what he's supposed to represent, artist Joachim Luetke responds: “I think that's obvious. Since the whole 'setting' is located in an icy, bleak, winter-y, post-industrial era, we're pretty close to H.P. Lovecraft's nameless elder gods. They're represented by the mask's tentacles. In short: the mask/face personifies dominion of powers far beyond mankind. The nameless gods witnessed the birth of our universe and they'll watch it implode. To them, the age of mankind is but a blink of an eye.”
In early June, DIMMU BORGIR announced its collaboration with Norwegian composer and Berklee College of Music summa cum laude alumnus Gaute Storaas in addition to the 51 members of KORK (the Norwegian Radio Orchestra) and the 38-member Schola Cantorum Choir. To date, over 101 musicians have contributed to the making of the new CD.
Composer Gaute Storaas has said of DIMMU BORGIR: “Their music is epic, thematic and symphonic already from the creation; they are clearly having an orchestral approach to composing.”
Luetke's artwork and layout art also graced two other DIMMU BORGIR albums: 2003's “Death Cult Armageddon”, which has sold 130,000 copies in the U.S. (according to Nielsen SoundScan) and debuted at No. 7 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, No. 10 on the Top Independent Albums chart, and No. 170 on The Billboard 200 chart; and 2007's “In Sorte Diaboli”, which has sold over 75,000 copies in the U.S. (according to Nielsen SoundScan) and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart and at No. 43 on The Billboard 200 chart.

But three of the suggestions were news to me.
First, you can turn off 3G and still receive calls and data via GPRS and EDGE. Makes sense, but it never occurred to me. You will find the option in the Network section of General Preferences.
Secondly, “applying an equalizer setting to song playback on your iPhone can decrease Dell Latitude D510 Battery life.” You can switch that off, or set it to “flat” in the phone’s iPod settings.
Lastly, Location Services chews a lot of power. Switching it on only when you need it will prolong the life of your battery.
Finally, it surprised me with its advice on cycling the Dell Inspiron E1705 Battery:
For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
I have always thought—following someone’s sage advice when I was a gullible new Switcher—that it was important never to let the battery level fall too low. Now I know.
,p>Luckily, just like Achilles my iPhone thirsts for a short and glorious life, so there will be no problem getting the Dell Latitude D410 Battery charge down.
